Eastern Idaho Raises $100,000+ For Primary Children’s Hospital: Time-lapse Video

The Eastern Idaho community raised over $100,000 for Primary Children’s Hospital.

Over the course of 17 hours, employees of Rich Broadcasting and local volunteers solicited donations and answered phone calls of generous citizens who simply wanted to help.

The stations STAR 98, RIVER COUNTRY, KID NEWSRADIO, AND 94.9THE ROCK each asked listeners to lend a hand and help families who struggle with sick children. Along with day to day radio content, each station provided special interviews. Local patients who travel frequently to Primary Children’s Hospital came to the radio stations and spoke with the DJ’s.

Employees and listeners heard each family’s struggles, including their sick children and financial obligations. One woman told the radio that her son’s heart transplant cost $4 Million. She said that her son would not be alive today without the donations of generous people.

The children generally had a good time interacting with the DJ’s and volunteers and were excited to be on the radio. The “radiothon” proved to be beneficial in lifting the spirits of those involved and raising money.

This was the sixth annual “radiothon” for Primary Children’s hospital, and there are already plans to keep this tradition for next year and years to come.
