Carrie Underwood will be Inducted into Oklahoma Hall of Fame

Carrie Underwood is treasured in her home state of Oklahoma. Underwood is so treasured that she will be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame as one of the 2017 honorees.

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for November 16. The hosts are also inductees themselves, Vince Gill and Kristin Chenoweth. Underwood and others will have portraits presented in their honor. The portraits will be on display at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum, the location of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

“I’ve always been proud to say I’m from Oklahoma. The people, culture and environment molded me into the person I am today. It’s such an honor to be recognized among such great company by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame!” Underwood said about receiving the recognition.

The country superstar is one of seven people to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. The others include Congressman Tom Cole, former gymnast Shannon Miller and restauranteur Hal Smith. Other country artists from her home state are – Gill, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, and Toby Keith are all artists that have been inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame previously.

Underwood is keeping busy as always while rumors are that she could be a judge on the return of American Idol in 2018. Kelly Clarkson was said to be joining the judges panel but she announced that she will be taking a seat in a coaches chair on The Voice in Season 14.
